About Your Host
We’re Jennifer and Lee, proud parents to two wonderful daughters, Jessica and Lucy, and devoted dog-owners to Archie, our charming pug.
Like many, we love to travel and embrace the great outdoors, but we’ve always found it challenging to find quality, self-catering accommodation — especially those that welcome dogs.
Our passion for creating beautiful places to stay has turned into a true family project. We have personally renovated all our holiday homes from the ground up, transforming properties that were once neglected and in need of care into comfortable, stylish, and inviting retreats. We’ve poured our hearts and souls into each one, ensuring they offer the perfect base for your getaway.
Nestled in the stunning North East, our homes sit surrounded by natural beauty and endless opportunities to explore.
We love spending our weekends cycling along the many scenic routes nearby, often finishing with a sweet treat or a cheeky stop at a local beer garden.
Some of our favourite local spots include Hamsterley Forest — an outdoor paradise with fantastic children’s play areas and cycling tracks ranging from blue to black runs, ensuring fun for all ages and skill levels. Chopwell Woods is another beloved destination where we enjoy peaceful walks and even pick our Christmas tree each year. On Sundays, The Derwent Reservoir is a hit with the girls who love watching the ducks and visiting the Alpacas, followed by a delicious roast at The Manor House on the A68.
For those who prefer city breaks, Newcastle and Durham are both within easy reach, with convenient bus routes outside each property.
